Transform Your Teaching with Gamma.app: Effortless AI-Generated Presentations!

Gamma.app is an awesome AI tool that makes creating presentations, documents, and webpages a breeze. With just a simple prompt, you can whip up beautiful decks and docs. You can also upload your files or paste in some content to give the AI a bit of background info.

Customization and Templates: Gamma has a bunch of stylish themes to choose from, so you can give your deck a fresh look with just one click. Plus, there are special templates for all sorts of needs, like go-to-market decks, investor reports, webinars, and company fact sheets.

Media Integration and App Connectivity: Spice up your presentations by adding YouTube videos, TikToks, Spotify songs, and other media. Gamma also connects with popular apps like Airtable and Figma. Just a heads-up: setting this up can be a bit of work since you’ll need separate accounts for each app, might face subscription costs, and have to learn how each app works.

Testing Gamma’s AI Presentation Maker: We put Gamma to the test by creating different types of decks—pitch decks, QBRs, marketing decks, online courses, and how-to presentations. The step-by-step workflow was quick and easy. Content-wise, the AI’s output was pretty basic but a good starting point. Visually, the decks looked great with sophisticated color palettes and well-balanced slide elements. Gamma defaults to 8 slides per deck, so you might need to add or remove slides yourself. The designs were often repeated across different decks, so making them unique would take a bit more effort.

User Experience: If you’re used to PowerPoint or Google Slides, Gamma’s editor might feel a bit overwhelming at first. It has Notion-style slash commands, an AI chatbot, a main toolbar, and mini-menus. But once you get the hang of it, the drag-and-drop system is super intuitive. You can easily access graphics from sites like Unsplash and GIPHY right within Gamma.

Exporting and Compatibility: You can present your deck within Gamma or download it as a PDF or PowerPoint file (you might need to download fonts). Currently, Gamma doesn’t support exporting directly to Google Slides, so you’ll need to download as a PowerPoint file and then import it into Google Slides, which can sometimes cause rendering issues.
